This small rodent lives in Brazil’s southeastern Atlantic Forest. It has orange-brown upperparts and a pale underside, and specimens were caught in branch and vine traps among other methods.
Its back is orange brown, with orange color on the nose and rump. The underside is cream-colored, and the tail is faintly two-toned.
The study collected specimens in traps placed on branches and vines and in pitfall traps. Localities included rain, semideciduous, and cloud forest above 800 m.
