Liechtenstein’s pine vole has a brown-toned back, a pale underside, and lives in open places with dense ground cover. It is active at twilight and at night.
The back ranges from reddish or yellowish brown to dark brown, while the belly is gray-white and may be yellowish. The eyes are small, and the short ears are hidden in the fur.
It is active at twilight and at night, digging its own tunnels and also using passages made by other small mammals. Above ground it stays under dense vegetation, eating leaves, stems, roots, seeds, and other plant foods, and storing tubers.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
