A large pigeon with a white body and black wing tips. It feeds on fruit while moving among islands and coastal forests.
Most of the body is white, while the wing tips and edge of the tail appear black. The contrast is clear in flight.
It mainly eats ripe fruit in trees. It swallows fruit whole and can carry seeds to other places before they are passed.
