This greenlet occurs in northern South America, especially along coastal areas. It uses mangroves, forest, and forest edges, and feeds on insects.
The upperparts are olive except for the grey head and nape. The underparts are grey with a yellow wash on the breast, and the eye is dark reddish brown.
It is most common in coastal areas, using mangroves, humid or drier forest, and forest edges. Much of its diet consists of insects such as beetles, ants, and moth or butterfly larvae.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
