This small green parrot has a yellow-orange throat mark and red rump. It occurs on Java and Bali and feeds on nectar and fruit.
Adults are mainly green, with a yellowish mantle and red rump and upper tail coverts. The throat has an orange-yellow mark that is smaller and less obvious in females.
It eats nectar, fruit, figs, and leaf buds. It moves among treetops alone, in pairs, or in small groups; larger gatherings can form at flowering trees.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
