This ovenbird occurs in southern South America, where it searches for food on tree trunks and branches.
The brown head is streaked with dark markings and has a white eyebrow; upperparts are brown and underparts white.
It climbs along trunks and branches, searching and pecking at trees. It builds a twig structure with downward-facing entrances that serves as a roost.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
