This honeyeater occurs on Lombok, Sumbawa, and Flores. Some bird accounts and field studies use the former combination Lichmera lombokia; the current scientific name is Sugomel lombokius.
It has olive upperparts, a grey face and throat, and yellow-washed underparts. The eBird account describes these field marks under the former name Lichmera lombokia.
A Lombok study of two honeyeaters and one sunbird found that the bird, reported as Lichmera lombokia, was a principal user of the richest nectar resources in open land within their overlap zone. This is a result from the study area on Lombok.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
