This small tyrant flycatcher is recorded in the Guianas and northern and eastern Amazonia. It is olive green with a white eye-ring and pale wing markings, joins canopy flocks, and eats fruit and insects. Its full distribution remains incompletely known.
The species account citing Sigrist (2009) describes a bird about 12 cm long, mostly olive green, with a white eye-ring and pale yellow edges to the primaries and light or yellowish wing-bars. The throat is whitish yellow, the breast a darker olive tone, and the belly pale gray-yellow.
It uses the canopy of primary terra firme and transition forests, including forest on sandy soils. In the Iwokrama uplands of Guyana it was an uncommon canopy bird, difficult to see while moving with mixed canopy flocks. The species account lists fruit and insects as food.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
