The New Holland Honeyeater is a small bird found in southern Australia’s forests and gardens. It feeds mainly on nectar, as well as insects and other foods.
Its black-and-white body has yellow markings on the wings and tail, with white around the eye. Females are slightly smaller, and juveniles are browner than adults.
It takes nectar from flowers and also eats insects and other foods. It may feed in groups where flowering plants are abundant.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
