This thrush is resident in northwestern Patagonia. Dark streaks mark its white throat, and ochre coloring spreads across the breast and belly.
The back is gray-brown, while the head, flight feathers, and tail are darker brown. The white throat has black streaks, the belly is ochre, and the bill, eye-ring, and legs are yellow.
It walks along the ground for insects, other invertebrates, and plant matter, eating more fruits and berries in autumn and winter. In northwestern Patagonia it gathers in lowlands in winter, alone, in pairs, or loose groups.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
