The Keel-billed Motmot is a Central American motmot with a keel-like ridge along the upper bill.
A ridge runs along the upper bill. The crown and back are olive green, the eyebrow and chin are turquoise, and the chest is cinnamon-brown. The central tail feathers can end in racket shapes, but these may be lost through wear.
It inhabits humid lowland and foothill forest, often near streams and gullies. It catches spiders and insects in the middle to upper forest levels and sometimes takes an anole lizard.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
