The Eye-ringed Parrotbill is a small mountain bird of Yunnan, China. It has a dark eye-ring bordered by pale skin and is treated as a species separate from the Brown-winged Parrotbill.
A blackish ring surrounds the eye, with a whitish area immediately outside it. The sides of the head are paler than the crown, and narrow brown streaks run from the grayish-white chin to the lower breast.
A 2024 Yunnan birding report records a flock of about ten in riverside scrub near Lijiang. This is one field observation, not a population estimate or typical flock-size claim.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
