The Straw-colored Colilargo is a Brazilian rodent with pale dorsal fur sharply set off from its whitish underside. In the Cerrado it is chiefly reported from gallery forests.
The back is pale ochraceous with fine dark streaks, and the transition from the sides to the whitish underside is distinct. The tail is brown above and pale below.
In the Cerrado, it is chiefly found in gallery forests. Juveniles collected in August and a female with four embryos collected in September provide limited reproductive records.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
