This rarely recorded tree-kangaroo was photographed again in West Papua in 2018.
Experts identified the 2018 animal by a distinctive coat that separates it from other tree-kangaroos.
During the 2018 expedition, an animal was observed in a tree about 30 m above ground in montane forest at roughly 1,500–1,700 m elevation.
