A gerbil recorded in Ethiopia's Lower Omo Valley. It has fawn-colored upperparts, furred soles, and a tuft at the end of its tail.
The original description reports fawn upperparts, darker rump and thighs, a white underside, densely furred soles, and a tufted tail.
On the Lower Omo plateau, the survey recorded it on lighter, sandier soils than the local Taterillus and Tatera species.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
