The Chilean dolphin is a small dolphin found along Chile’s coast. Records are patchy, and it often uses sheltered shallow waters such as bays and fjords.
It has a small, sturdy body, a gray back and sides, a white belly and a rounded dorsal fin.
It uses shallow water near river mouths, bays and fjords. In the Chonos Archipelago, giant kelp beds are recorded as places for feeding and social activity.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
