Brachycephalus dacnis
Brachycephalus dacnis
Adults are under 1 cm long. In the holotype, the back was yellowish brown, with dark brown side stripes and small white belly spots.[2]
Appearance
Measured adults were 6.95–9.90 mm long. In the holotype, a dark X-shaped mark crossed the back and small white spots marked the brown belly.[2]
Life
It occupied dense, shaded patches with moist soil and thick leaf litter. The species was also found in sunnier, thinner shrub cover with less moisture. The records between palm roots or beneath rotting trunks came from this second, sunnier site. Stomach contents were examined in two individuals: one contained a springtail, a beetle, a hymenopteran insect, and a mite; another contained a beetle.[2]
