Severtzov's jerboa is a jerboa of Central Asia. It runs bipedally, and a speed of about 40 km/h is reported for this species.
It uses long hind feet for bipedal running and its long tail for balance while moving.
Five-toed jerboas are mainly nocturnal. They dig burrows in firm ground for resting, raising young, and hibernating. Their foods include seeds, plant leaves and roots, and insects, with proportions varying by species and season.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
