The Rio Suno Antwren has a patchy range along the eastern Andes and in the western Amazon. It uses the lower levels of humid lowland forest.
Males are gray with a large black throat and breast patch, a concealed white back patch, and white spotting on the wing coverts. Females are olive-brown to gray above and pale cinnamon below.
It forages in pairs or small family groups about 1–7 m above the ground, inspecting leaves for insects and probably spiders. It often joins understory mixed flocks.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
