The Sudan Gerbil is a small gerbil recorded in the Sahel. Few specimens are known, so much of its way of life remains poorly documented.
Its back ranges from sandy to orange-brown, with a sharply white belly. Pale patches occur around the eyes and ears and on the feet. The tail is about 1.2–1.4 times the combined head-and-body length and ends in a fine tuft.
It has been recorded on sand or sandy-clay soils, in natural grassland, and in fallow or millet and sorghum fields. One female collected in Niger in June carried four embryos.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
