Campylopterus falcatus is a hummingbird recorded in Colombia's mountains. Males are green with blue-violet throat and lower chest; females are green above and on the sides with grey-white underparts. Foraging at flowering Inga was reported.
Males are mainly green, with blackish wings, a rufous-brown tail, and blue-violet on the throat and lower chest. Females are bright green above and on the sides, grey-white below, with violet on the middle of the throat.
In the study area, it was repeatedly observed foraging at flowering guamo (Inga) trees. Birds sometimes gathered and made frequent aggressive attacks on one another; this is a regional observation.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
