The Australian Pipit forages on the ground in open country across Australia.
It has a brown, dark-streaked back, pale eyebrow and cheek stripes, streaks on the breast, and white outer tail feathers.
It uses open habitats from saltmarshes to dry scrub and open woodland, walking on the ground to eat insects, larvae, and seeds.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
