This prinia includes a documented record from the Fouta Djalon highlands of Guinea. English accounts use both White-eyed Prinia and Sierra Leone Prinia.
The observed birds had long tails and rounded wings, whitish bellies, buff flanks, thin black bills, relatively long pink legs, and cream-white irises.
A pair was seen in thickets beside a trail and stream at a forest edge. One captured bird carried insects and had a brood patch. Oiseaux.net also classifies its habitat as streamside thicket and mountain gallery forest, with an invertebrate diet.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
