The Brown-crested Flycatcher launches from a branch to catch insects in the air; it is a large member of the tyrant flycatchers.
It has brown to olive upperparts, a yellow belly, and rufous tones in the tail.
It sallies out to catch flying insects and may nest in old woodpecker holes.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
