The Bogota grass mouse is a small rodent of the high Andes in Colombia and Venezuela. It has been recorded in grassland, forest, and páramo.
It is small, with soft fur ranging from pale to dark brown above and a lighter belly. It has small eyes, a pointed nose, and a tail shorter than its head-and-body length.
It occurs at about 2,600–3,900 m in grassland, forest, and páramo, and eats invertebrates as well as plant matter. It is difficult to detect and shows adaptations for a partly burrowing life.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
