Stegomarmosa

• Anderson's Mouse Opossum Marmosa (Stegomarmosa) andersoni

  This small mouse opossum is known from three localities in the Andean foothills of southeastern Peru. It appears to climb, but observations remain sparse.

• Rufous Mouse Opossum Marmosa (Stegomarmosa) lepida

  This small marsupial ranges from the Guianas into the Amazon Basin. It has a dark mask around the eyes, reddish dorsal fur, a whitish underside, and a long prehensile tail. All known capture localities are in lowland Amazonian rainforest.
