The shell is external, rounded, and marked only by faint growth lines. Its translucence reveals orange and dark-brown spots inside the body; the head has two visible eye spots and side extensions. It is herbivorous and is often found on red algae in turbulent areas; it is also common in the intertidal zone.

A thin, translucent shell sits beneath a wide, elongated body whose side flaps cover the front of the shell.
- Haminoea miocaenica
- Haminoea saucatsensis
- Amber Glassy-bubble Haminoea succinea
The shell is external, rounded, and translucent white. The elongated body has a short, broad head shield with two small side extensions; short side flaps do not cover the shell, and the rear of the foot is broad and rounded. It occurs on soft bottoms in sheltered places near mangrove roots.
