This spinetail occurs in the understory of evergreen forest and woodland in Guyana. It has a warm rufous crown and wings against a gray body.
The crown and wings are warm rufous-brown, and the tail slightly paler. The mantle is pale grayish brown; the rest of the head and underparts are gray, with a small black throat patch finely speckled white.
In Guyana it is usually in pairs in dense undergrowth, below about 5 m, at evergreen forest and woodland edges. The poster reports that it avoids heavily cut areas.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
