The Rufous-fronted Prinia is a small bird of dry grassland and scrub. A 2005 field note from Dive Ghat in Maharashtra, western India, recorded birds singing from low bushes.
At Dive Ghat, the observed birds looked paler grey than Jungle and Plain prinias, with a distinct rufous forehead and a clear white band at the end of the tail.
On visits in late January and early February, the observer heard at least two singing birds at Dive Ghat and at least six on a second visit. They were wary, but sang for long periods from small bushes when observers kept their distance.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
