The Grey-crowned Prinia is a small bird marked by its grey crown. A study in western Nepal reported it in grassland and scrub habitats.
It is about 11 cm long, and its grey crown gives the species its name. The Nepal report also discusses tail length when distinguishing it from the Jungle Prinia.
It is active by day and searches among foliage for insects and other invertebrates. It uses pine forest and foothill woodland; grassland and scrub were also included in the western Nepal study.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
