A rarely recorded long-eared bat rediscovered alive in Inner Mongolia, China, in 2022. Morphology and genetic data supported identification of the eight bats.
The bats captured in 2022 had large ears and mostly bare faces. Their wing and ear membranes were slightly translucent light brown; the back was brownish yellow and the belly pale gray to white.
In the 2022 Inner Mongolia survey, eight bats were mist-netted inside a mine. The paper reports the capture site but does not confirm a regular roost there.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
