The Cinnamon-banded Kingfisher has a green head and orange underparts. It lives in forests on Indonesia's Lesser Sunda Islands and the Tanimbar Islands.
Adults have a green head and back, a dark band around the eyes, and orange underparts. The sexes look similar, though females are slightly duller.
It feeds almost entirely on insects and their larvae. It perches in the forest and is thought to take most prey from the ground.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
