*Deconychura pallida* is an Amazonian bird separated in research from the formerly broad *D. longicauda* group. A 2010 study reported distinct vocal characters among its lineages.
The thesis describes the pallida lineage as paler brown overall than the comparison D. longicauda lineage, with lighter throat and breast streaks and diamond-like streaking on the breast.
Recordings from wild populations include a loud song. The study found vocal characters useful for distinguishing Deconychura lineages.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
