The small big-eared brown bat has large ears and gray-brown fur. Chile's biodiversity account reports winter torpor as temperatures fall and describes the ears folding.
Its ears measure 25–30 mm. The silky coat is gray-brown with yellowish and darker tones on the back, while the underside is paler.
The Chilean account says it may enter torpor in winter when ambient temperature falls below 13°C, folding its ears. It also describes broad wings for slow, low flight.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
