This small tyrant flycatcher is patchily recorded around Brazil's Rio Negro basin, including white-sand campinarana.
At about 9 cm, it has olive-brown upperparts, white lores, an eye-ring and wingbars, and pale underparts. The sexes are described as similar.
It is recorded in the lower and middle layers of white-sand campinarana. The account says that behavior and diet are poorly known, so no foraging method is specified here.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
