The Green-throated Carib is a Caribbean hummingbird with an iridescent green throat and chest, a blue band beneath them, and black underparts. It uses flower nectar.
The upperparts are green. The throat and upper breast are iridescent green, followed by a narrow blue band; the rest of the underparts are black. The bill is black and slightly down-curved. The sexes look much alike.
It lives in rainforests, gardens, and other places with flowers, where it feeds on nectar. The page also says Lesser Antillean hummingbirds take insects.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
