The Bougainville Thrush is a thrush recorded in the mountain forests of Bougainville Island. Its last definite documented record is reported as 2002.
The adult male described in the 1982 original account was dark on the head and neck, with small white tips on the wing feathers.
BirdLife’s ecology account reports the species only from montane forest in Bougainville’s Crown Prince Range and says it feeds in taro gardens within that forest.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
