The Príncipe Thrush is recorded on Príncipe Island, São Tomé and Príncipe. Its account describes a white, streaked throat; field records include both primary forest and mature secondary forest.
The throat is white with dark-brown streaks, and a pale crescent on the upper breast sits above a narrow dark band. The sexes are similar; juveniles have light-buff flecks above and brown blotches below.
The 2022 survey recorded the species in primary forest at Pico Príncipe and mature secondary forest at Praia Seca.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
