The Sunda Thrush is a thrush with a scaly-looking pattern on its back. It occurs mainly on Indonesian islands and also in the Philippines, searching for food on the forest floor and in undergrowth.
The upperparts are dark slate-grey, with blackish feather tips that create a scaly look. A pale eye-ring and small pale spots mark the face and breast.
It lives alone or in pairs and searches among leaf litter and decaying vegetation for food. It is wary, often staying low in the undergrowth or on the ground, and is sedentary.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
