The Red-crested Turaco is an Angolan endemic with a striking red crest and green body. It eats fruit and lives in pairs or groups in gallery and riverine forests.
Its raised red crest has a white edge; the chest and wings are green, and the tail is purplish blue. The female's crest is less vivid than the male's.
It feeds mainly on fruit, along with seeds and berries, and occurs in pairs or flocks in gallery forest.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
