This small lemur was observed eating ground-level grasses in the bamboo-poor littoral forest of Mandena.
It is a small-bodied lemur that feeds mainly on plants. Its use of littoral forest with little woody bamboo motivated the study.
During a three-month austral-winter study at Mandena, it spent much of its time grazing on terrestrial grasses. Researchers also observed feeding and travel at night.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
