This babbler lives in forests on Panay and Negros. Its orange temple tufts and yellow breast stand out as it joins mixed-species flocks and searches for food in the forest.
The back is grayish and streaked, the breast is yellow, and the head has black spots with orange tufts behind the eyes.
It forages in the lower forest layers of lowland forest, forest edge, and secondary growth, and may join mixed-species flocks.
It eats insects.
One pair was observed foraging slowly among trapped leaves about 6 m above the ground.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
