The Peleng tarsier is a primate found on Peleng Island, Indonesia. Field work from 2016 to 2018 recorded individuals traveling alone or in groups and using several trees as sleeping sites.
Descriptions from museum specimens report a dark brown coat and thighs with contrasting cream-colored tips. The tail is long, with only sparse fur along part of it.
During field work on Peleng in 2016–2018, tarsiers traveled alone or in groups of two to seven; up to nine were seen at one sleeping site. Groups used one to three sleeping trees on alternate days. Preliminary observations recorded foraging 3–10 m above ground. They gave vocal duets at dawn before returning to sleeping sites.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
