This small primate was described from west-central Sulawesi. Its dark coat and the duet song used in territorial communication were reported as distinguishing features.
Its fur is very dark gray-buff, its tail ends in a thick black tuft, and strong black lines mark the eye rims and sides of the nose.
A distinctive male-female duet song used in territorial communication was recorded in the wild.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
