A furnariid recorded in riparian forest in the upper Orinoco region of southern Venezuela. Its documented habitat is localized and information remains limited.
It is olive-brown above, with rufous wings and tail, a pale buff eyebrow and an orange-red throat patch. The olive underparts have fine buff streaks, strongest on the chest.
It uses shrubby understory in riverine várzea forest and forest clearings. The account describes habitat but does not provide a diet.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
