The Antarctic Prion is a small seabird with a blue-gray back and white belly. It gathers over the Southern Ocean and feeds on small crustaceans near the water's surface.
The back is blue-gray and black, the belly is white, and a dark M-shaped band crosses the back between the wingtips in flight.
It catches small crustaceans by making shallow dives or taking food from the surface. At nesting islands, it returns after dark and uses burrows or rock crevices.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
