The Pallid Cuckoo occurs across Australia and is a brood parasite. Its plumage varies among individuals and between sexes, and it leaves its eggs in host nests.
It is grey, darker on the back and wings, with broad black-and-white bars under the tail and a yellow eye-ring. Plumage also varies between sexes and individuals.
Females lay eggs in nests of honeyeaters and other passerines, sometimes removing one host egg. After hatching, a cuckoo chick may push the other eggs or chicks out of the nest.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
