This bush-warbler lives in Taiwan's mountains. It sings from tall grass in forest-edge grassland and fern-covered slopes.
Its upperparts are uniformly dark dull brown; the whitish throat may have small brown speckles.
It sings mostly in the morning during the breeding season. The original description reports small insects in the stomach of one specimen collected while singing in tall grass.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
