This woodhaunter lives in the humid forest understory of the western Amazon. It searches among leaves and epiphytes for small arthropods.
It has olive-brown upperparts with faint, blurry yellow-brown streaks on the crown. The wings are rufous, the tail cinnamon-rufous, and the throat pale yellow-brown.
In humid tropical forest understory, it gleans arthropods from leaf litter, epiphytes, dead palm leaves, and tangled vegetation. It forages alone, in pairs, or in mixed-species flocks.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
