This small tyrant flycatcher occurs in humid Andean mountain forest from Colombia to Peru.
It has a slate-gray crown with white flecks over the lores and eyebrow, yellowish olive upperparts, and broad cinnamon wing bars.
In wet, mossy mountain forest it eats mostly arthropods, foraging alone, in pairs, or in mixed-species flocks.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
